Local Firm Blazes the way with two Awards
Certainly Wood has just won two major awards at the Hearth & Home Exhibition held at Harrogate from 11th - 13th June for its recently launched 'Certainly Wood Log Stores' which provide the perfect airy storage unit for firewood. The stores are delivered in a flat pack format with easy to erect instructions.
The Hearth & Home Exhibition is Europe's biggest event for the fireplace and stove industries and this year was the 10th Anniversary of the show. Whilst their tends to be more focus on gas stoves there is now a significant shift towards more wood burning stoves and appliances and consequently Certainly Wood had huge interest as the only supplier of firewood, kindling and log stores at the show.
Certainly Wood made two entries for awards. Its unique kiln dried firewood logs packed in attractive, clean and convenient bags and kiln dried kindling packed in boxes with a convenient carry handle and secondly the Certainly Wood Log Store. Not only did both gain nominations, but the Log Store won the 'Best Accessory' category, then went on to win the Overall Best Supporting Product of the show.
Marketing Director, Nic Snell said 'We have had a great show, with a huge amount of interest for our unique products and we were delighted to win the 'Best Accessory' but amazed to collect the second award'. Managing Director George Snell went on to say "People are just beginning to understand the benefits and importance of dry wood which provides so much more energy than unseasoned wood. This coincides with the fact that more and more people are turning to wood as a realistic alternative energy source for the home and wood burning stoves are becoming far more popular. It also ties in with peoples desire to more away from fossil fuels to a far more sustainable energy source and what better way than to use wood from local estates, taken as part of the natural thinning process.
Certainly Wood is working very closely with another Herefordshire firm - Euroheat, from Bishops Frome - a major distributor of high quality stoves with over 200 retailers selling its products around the UK. Their Director Mike Barber-Starkey said 'We are very pleased to work with George and Nic who have bought an element of professionalism to this industry in their supply of premier kiln dried wood. We recommend their wood to all our customers because it is more energy efficient and far more cost effective'.
