Why kiln dried and how is this done?
The reason for kiln drying is to improve the overall quality of the wood providing you with the best possible quality every time. The moisture content will be an average of 20% which is what the stove manufacturers recommend and this provides a clean burn with maximum heat output. Our new kilns are fired on our own wood waste so very eco-friendly.
