  • This is not a comment, this is about my nomination

I have nominated my wife Vicki Carlisle. She is a Midwife, and has set up e-midwife profile on Facebook for women booked with her hospital. In 3 weeks they 1k likes and it has proved essential for women during this time. My wife suffers with asthma, so is doing all this while working from for 12weeks, she is keeping the house going and looking after our 3kids, I’m not working as I’m a self employed tiler/bathroom fitter. Everyone deserves this but I think she does more than anyone she has a lot of pressure on her but is still doing a job she loves n looking after us. I’d love her to win this little break and I can look after her and let her relax for a few days.

  • Hello, firstly… what a fab competition, so generous and just a wonderful idea at this awful time.

I would like to nominate my mother Cathryn Hall. She is not on social media so misses out on all these opportunities. She is a dietician for the NHS in Dundee. She was asked to move to a larger hospital to help deal with corona virus positive patients and she was happy to do so. She always has to work a lot over the Christmas period too and she never moans or complains about it. She has been hugely dedicated to the NHS for I believe around 25-30 years now and she just really deserves this. She rarely gets much time with my dad as he is a farmer and works huge hours including lots of night shifts and I just think this would be so wonderful for them! They always put me and my sisters needs first and never take time for them self and I would love to give something back (which I can’t afford myself as I’m a student haha!) thanks again for this opportunity. X

  • I nominate my good friend Wendy Taylor. She’s an NHS front ambulance technician and has been working through all of this taking extra shifts. She’s a single mum and had to send her son to live with her dad so that they could both stay safe. In between her work shifts she’s been delivering shopping to folk and can only see her family from their front gate when dropping off supplies. She’s had a range of difficult calls recently, and I know she’s really in need of a break. All she wants is to be able to hug her boy and spend some time with her family. She’s not had an easy time personally in the last few years and I know this would make such a difference xxx.
