How we deliver to you

About our delivery service

National bulk deliveries (i.e. logs) are delivered using our third-party carrier, with a tail lift lorry delivered to the kerbside on a pallet using a hand pump truck. If you are ordering smaller quantities such as Flamers only, these will be delivered by either DPD or APC courier services, your delivery day will not be booked in. Alternatively, when looking to purchase smaller quantities you could visit our How to buy page to find a local retailer near you. Selecting the right delivery service for you

Delivery is FREE on all bulk orders over £125 when delivered via our 3rd party carrier within mainland UK. Our economy "standard" delivery service is free of charge and your goods will be delivered between 8.30am and 5.30pm. This delivery service is termed as an 'Open Booking' with no time specified just the day, which you will select using our online booking calendar at checkout. You will NOT receive a call from the carrier prior to delivery, once you've selected a delivery date at checkout. We can supply you with an estimated time of arrival on the day of delivery if you give the office a call on 01981 251796. If you have provided a mobile number on your order, on the day of delivery you will receive a text alert once your order has been loaded onto a vehicle, also once it has left us here in Herefordshire, you will receive an email from Palletline notifying you of this, this email will also provide a link for you to track your goods.

We also offer AM (8am - 12pm), Premium (1-2 working day), PM (1pm - 4pm) and Saturday Deliveries - please note these are subject to availability in your local area, these services can be selected at checkout along with a delivery date using our online booking calendar. Surcharges apply to all and are charged per pallet.  You will not receive a call from the carrier prior to delivery, once you've selected a delivery date at checkout.

If at any point you need to change your delivery date please contact the office on 01981 251796 quoting your order number as soon as possible, if you do so on the day of delivery and the goods are already out for delivery charges may apply.

On the day of delivery

Please note our carriers are contracted to a minimum of kerbside delivery only. Delivery drivers are not expected to manoeuvre the pallet beyond the rear of the vehicle but will risk assess each delivery and always be as helpful as possible where conditions allow. In the event of a delivery not being possible due to poor access or gravel drive then the delivery will have to be “kerbside” (i.e. left as near to the property as possible). The pump trucks do not operate on loose gravel, inclines and will not be able to go down steps. Please refer to our delivery schematic below which outlines the delivery vehicle and vehicle access.

On the day of delivery, we can request the depot leaves your goods in a safe and suitable place if you're not in, although we recommend for your first delivery someone is at the property. If you request for your goods to be left, these will be left at your own risk and we cannot instruct the carrier to return to the property. We can supply you with an estimated time of arrival on the day of delivery if you give the office a call on 01981 251796

Upon delivery of your goods, you should receive a collect+ label and return bag for you to send back your bulk bag(s) free of charge using the Collect+ service, to find your nearest drop off point please visit www.collectplus.co.uk/store-locator. We cannot insist that the carrier takes away the pallet, this is based on depot discretion.
