Our customers rely on us for quality logs and dependable service, and we take pride in making sure that the buying experience is positive from start to finish. Here’s how delivery works and what to expect, so that everything runs smoothly on the day…
Firewood Delivery Explained (Quick Summary)
- Bulk orders are delivered on a pallet for stability and protection
- Kerbside delivery is standard
- Requires a flat, solid surface for unloading
- Delivered within a selected delivery window
- Designed for safe and efficient handling
Working with Palletline: Experience You Can Trust
- Reliable nationwide coverage – free delivery on bulk orders over £125 across mainland UK.

- Professional handling – drivers trained to safely unload and position heavy firewood pallets.
What is kerbside delivery?
- Gravel or loose stones
- Steep inclines
- Soft or uneven ground
- Steps or raised kerbs
Why is kerbside delivery the standard?
- Safety for both you and the driver when handling large, heavy loads
- Protection for your driveways, lawns, and paving from vehicle or pallet damage
- Efficiency for reliable delivery times and minimal disruption
How To Prepare For Delivery
You should prepare for delivery by ensuring there is clear access and a suitable surface for unloading your firewood.
- Ensure that access to your property is clear and wide enough for the vehicle. Palletline has a variety of lorry sizes, including 7.5, 12, and 18-tonne lorries. All domestic deliveries will be made on a small standard lorry (12 tonnes and below) unless the chosen product exceeds the weight limit.
- Check that there’s a firm, level surface (tarmac, concrete, or block paving) for unloading.
- Let us know in advance if your property has limited access, steep slopes, or gravel.
- Use your delivery notes to leave specific delivery instructions for the driver.
- Plan where you’ll store your logs once the pallet has been unloaded, ideally under cover with good airflow.
If you’re unsure about access or have special requirements, our friendly team will be happy to advise before you order. Simply contact us on 01981 251796.

What Other Things Should You Consider For Firewood Delivery?
You should consider delivery timing, lead times, and optional upgrades when planning your firewood delivery to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Deliveries are all-day bookings, so can be made between 8 am and 6pm. We always encourage our customers to be present at the point of delivery, in case the driver needs any instructions.
- Surcharges- Although you can select a specific delivery day at checkout, some customers may require a more precise delivery time slot. We do have AM/PM deliveries available if needed, but these come at an extra charge (free for Fire Club members). See terms and conditions for more details.
- Lead time - we like to keep lead times under a week; however, during the busy season, lead times may extend.
- ETAs: Unless you already have a timed delivery slot, Palletline should provide ETAs on the day of delivery. Contact us at the Certainly Wood office from 9 am-5pm, Monday to Friday, if you need any further assistance.
