Description

Whether you're an occasional or frequent fire-builder, you know that starting a fire can be a challenge. This is where firelighters come in handy - they make it easier to light your fire and keep it burning all night long.

Key Features:

Natural: Flamers are made from natural wood shavings and refined paraffin wax, ensuring a clean and eco-friendly fire-starting experience.

One per fire: Say goodbye to the frustration of fumbling with newspapers, or messy liquid fire starters. Simply, place two logs at the base of your woodburner, add 6-8 sticks of kindling in a Jenga formation on top, place ONE Flamer natural firelighter in the middle of your Jenga formation and light!

Consistent Performance: Each Flamer natural firelighter is carefully crafted to provide a reliable and consistent burn. You can trust them to ignite your fire quickly, even in adverse weather conditions.

Long burn time: Flamers natural firefighters can burn up to 15 minutes.

Versatile Use: Whether you're lighting a cosy indoor fireplace, an outdoor BBQ, or a campfire in the wilderness, Flamers are your trusted companion. They are perfect for a range of applications and settings.

No Odour or Residue: Unlike some firelighters that can leave unpleasant odours or residue on your fingers when handled, Flamers natural firelighters burn cleanly, leaving behind no residue or smell.

Quantities: Available in boxes of 24, 50 and 200.  They have a long shelf life, making them a smart investment for your fire-starting needs.

How to use Flamers natural firelighters:

  1. Place two kiln dried logs at the base of your woodburner
  2. Using 6-8 sticks of kindling, create a Jenga formation on top of the logs
  3. Pop ONE Flamer in the middle of your kindling
  4. Light the Flamer

Flamers are best ordered with your bulk order of firewood as the boxes are then delivered FREE.

FAQs

What are Flamers made from, and how are they different from chemical firelighters?

Flamers are made from natural wood shavings coated in fully refined paraffin wax, rather than the chemical solvents used in some firelighter brands, so they light without the strong chemical smell some people find unpleasant. This makes them a popular choice for anyone lighting fires indoors regularly, since there's no lingering odour transferred to the room. They're made in Britain and designed to light consistently even in a stove or fireplace that's difficult to get going.

How many Flamers does it take to light one fire?

Typically, one Flamer is enough to light a single fire when used alongside kindling, though this can vary slightly depending on your appliance and how dry your kindling and logs are. If you want a firelighter that removes the need for kindling altogether, our KindleFlamers range is designed to light a fire on its own without additional kindling, worth considering if you want the simplest possible lighting process.

What pack sizes do Flamers Natural Firelighters come in, and which should I choose?

Flamers Natural Firelighters are available in 24, 30, 50 and 200-packs. Smaller packs suit occasional fire-lighters or those wanting to try the product before committing to a larger quantity, while the 200-pack is better value per firelighter for anyone lighting fires most days through winter. If you go through firelighters even faster than that, our Flamers Value Packs (500 or 1000) work out cheaper still per unit, though the 200-pack remains a sensible middle option for most regular households.

How should Flamers Natural Firelighters be stored to stay effective?

Keep Flamers somewhere dry, since damp firelighters can be harder to light even though the wax coating offers some natural water resistance. Many customers use our Flamers Bucket, an enamel storage tin, to keep a supply tidy and protected by the fireside, rather than leaving the box exposed near a damp hearth or outbuilding. This is particularly worth doing if you buy in bulk, such as a 200-pack, since the box itself isn't designed for long-term outdoor storage.

Are Flamers Natural Firelighters covered by a guarantee, and how quickly will they arrive?

Yes, Flamers Natural Firelighters is covered by our Money Back Guarantee, so if the product doesn't perform as described on the page, you're entitled to a full refund on claims made within around 3 months of delivery. It's delivered by courier as a small parcel, typically arriving within 1-2 working days of ordering, regardless of which pack size you choose, making it easy to reorder quickly if you notice you're running low partway through winter.
