In line with the new Ready to Burn legislation, wood sold in volumes of up to 2m3 must contain less than 20% moisture content. If you purchase and burn firewood above this moisture level, you will not comply with the new Air Quality Regulations 2020.
What’s the difference between great value and premium logs?
Our Great Value logs are 100% silver birch. Silver birch is a hardwood, but because it’s less dense than species like ash, it lights quickly and burns faster, making it great for everyday convenience and quick heat.
Our premium logs are mainly ash, a denser hardwood known for a longer, steadier burn and a higher heat output. If you want maximum burn time and slower heat release, premium is the better choice.
Which hardwood species are included in the premium bundles?
Our premium bundles primarily contain primarily ash, a dense, high-quality hardwood known for its long, steady burn and excellent heat output. This makes it ideal for colder weather and customers who want maximum performance from their stove or fire.
