Slow Burn Briquettes

Slow Burn Briquettes are designed for those moments when you want gentle, sustained warmth rather than intense heat. Made from compressed bark, they burn slowly and evenly, offering a consistent output for 6–8 hours when your stove’s seals and airflow are well controlled.

Their dense, compact structure means they don’t produce roaring flames; instead, they give you a warm, steady glow that’s perfect for maintaining steady background heat or overnight comfort. Because bark naturally burns more slowly than wood, these briquettes offer exceptional longevity with minimal ash and a calm, controlled burn.

They are ideal for:
  • Maintaining a steady background heat
  • Low heat, evening-long fires without frequent refuelling, perfect for taking the chill off
  • Overnight burns in well-sealed stoves
  • Mild winter days where high heat isn’t required

    Heat Briquettes

Heat Logs are the perfect choice when you want strong, reliable warmth with the flexibility to control how your fire behaves. Made from kiln dried woodchips with a touch of bark, they are densely compressed under high pressure to create a clean, efficient fuel with an excellent calorific value.

Their dense structure delivers good heat output while also offering versatility. By simply adjusting your stove’s airflow, you can tailor their burn to match your heating needs. With open-air vents, they produce a fast, powerful heat that quickly warms your home. Reduce the airflow, and they settle into a slower, more moderate burn that can last up to 4 hours when placed on a good bed of embers.

    They are ideal for:
    • Quick heat when you need warmth fast
    • A more moderate, steady burn when vents are reduced
    • Evening-long comfort with burn times of up to 4 hours
    • Open fires
    • Homes looking for a clean, sustainable, easy-to-use fuel

    Fired Up Heat Logs

Fired Up Heat Logs are an extremely versatile fuel designed for fast, powerful heat with maximum ease of use. Made in the UK from clean, mixed softwood sawdust, they are tightly compressed to create a high-performance heat log that lights easily, burns cleanly and reaches temperature very quickly. Their composition delivers a calorific value of 4.8 kWh/kg, providing higher heat output than traditional hardwood logs and up to 1,000 kWh more energy per tonne.

One of their key advantages is flexibility. Fired Up Heat Logs can be broken into sections, making them ideal for quick lighting and controlled heat output. With plenty of airflow, they generate rapid, intense warmth, perfect for fast heat boosts. Reduce airflow and they maintain a more controlled, efficient burn with minimal smoke, low ash waste, and no spitting or sparking.

    They are ideal for:
    • Fast heat when you need warmth quickly
    • Easy lighting, even from a cold stove
    • Higher heat output than traditional hardwood logs
    • Clean burning fires with low smoke and minimal ash
    • Wood burners and open fires

    What's the difference?

Slow Burn Briquettes and Heat Briquettes contain the same amount of energy, but release it very differently.

Slow Burn Briquettes, made from compressed bark, provide 6–8 hours of gentle, steady warmth, making them ideal for long evenings or overnight use.

Heat Briquettes, made from kiln-dried woodchips with a touch of bark, offer a hotter, more responsive burn that lasts up to 4 hours, giving you the flexibility to create fast heat or a more moderate output by adjusting your airflow.

Fired Up Heat Logs are designed for rapid heat and maximum versatility. Made from clean, mixed softwood sawdust, they light easily, reach temperature very quickly, and deliver a medium/high heat output, making them ideal when you need fast warmth with minimal effort.

All three fuels are made in the UK, produce low ash, and perform best when added to a good bed of embers with correct air control.

How to use them for the best results

All our briquettes & heat logs perform best when added to an already established fire. Their dense structure and low moisture content mean they ignite most efficiently when placed onto a warm, glowing bed of embers. Once they’re burning, you can easily control the heat output by adjusting your stove’s air vents: open them for a stronger flame or reduce airflow for a slower, longer burn.

However, if you would like to light a fire using briquettes or Heat Logs, a simple method works well:

    1. Start by stacking 6–8 sticks of kindling in a Jenga-style formation.
    2. Place one Flamer in the centre of the kindling stack.
    3. Light the Flamer and allow the kindling to fully establish into a strong flame.
    4. Once you have a stable, well-lit base, add two briquettes on top.
    5. Keep your bottom air vent fully open until the briquettes have properly ignited and are burning steadily.
    6. Then adjust your vent settings as required, wide open for faster, hotter heat, or reduced airflow for a slower, more controlled burn.

Using the correct airflow makes a significant difference to performance, and a stove with good seals will always help extend burn times and maintain even heat.
