Step One:

Light your firepit, once the fire is going swing the BBQ rack over the fire, to allow it to heat up in preparation for cooking. Check out this YouTube video for information on how to light a firepit.

Step Two:

Prepare the ingredients. Crush the garlic, chop the onions and measure out the spices. Pour enough oil to cover the base of your skillet and let it heat up.

Step Three:

Add the onions and let them fry until golden brown. Add the thickly sliced halloumi to the pan and let cook until brown. This shouldn't take too long with the heat of the fire. After a couple of minutes, add the  spices, garlic, soy sauce, Worcester sauce, and Bay Tree Tomato & Caramelized Onion Chutney.  Let everything cook up for a few minutes, then remove from the pan and place into a dish with a lid to keep warm.

Step Three:

If making your own tortillas, this is the time to cook them up. Check out our recipe here, if not store-bought ones will suffice.

Step Four:

Carefully remove your halloumi from the heat and start serving straight away. We paired our tacos with sour cream, guacamole, cheddar cheese, and chutney, but the options are endless!
