History of Flamers

George and Nic first discovered natural wood wool firelighters at a wood burning show in Italy in 2008, and felt they were the perfect product fit for Certainly Wood. The Flamers brand was born. 

In 2014, we transferred the manufacturing operation to the UK at our site here in Hereford. They are now Made in Britain, and are now a part of the Made in Britain campaign which supports British manufacturers. Throughout the years, we have made significant modifications to the original manufacturing operation to improve efficiencies, quality and reduce costs.

We started with the 24 pack and 3 pack, both being supplied in their own free standing display units (FSDU’s). Shortly afterwards we developed the 50 pack and then the 200 pack for bulk sales and to reduce costs per unit to the consumer.

In 2020, our KindleFlamers were born... but we'll leave that story for another day!
