Description

The 40 bag pallet is ideal for smaller households or occasional burners who still want the benefits of premium firewood. Made from 100% Silver Birch and kiln-dried to below 20% moisture, these Ready to Burn certified logs ignite quickly, produce bright flames and give off a clean, consistent heat. Silver birch is naturally less dense than hardwoods such as ash or oak, meaning it burns faster and is perfect for shorter, more spontaneous fires where quick heat is the priority. Packed into easy-to-handle 10kg bags, they’re convenient to move, store and stack.

What log size and species do Great Value Kiln Dried Logs - Pallets of Small Bags contain?

Each bag contains 100% silver birch logs cut to 25cm (+/-10% tolerance) with a 5-15cm diameter, kiln dried below 20% moisture. Silver birch has a calorific value of around 15-17 MJ/kg and burns hot and bright, making it a popular, easy-lighting, budget-friendly choice for regular use throughout the week rather than long, banked overnight burns. How does buying a full pallet compare with our Premium ash pallet option?

This pallet is 100% silver birch, cheaper per bag than our Premium ash pallet, but birch burns roughly 20-25% faster than oak (around 19 MJ/kg), so you'll get through it a little sooner. Choose this pallet if value and easy lighting matter most; choose the Premium ash pallet if you'd rather refuel less often, even at a slightly higher cost per bag delivered.

Is this pallet covered by the Money-Back Guarantee?

Yes, kiln dried logs are one of the four product types explicitly named in our Money Back Guarantee, so if any bag on the pallet doesn't meet the stated moisture specification, you're entitled to a full refund on claims made within around 3 months of delivery, covering wood quality rather than delivery issues with the carrier.
