Following the unseasonably mild weather in October and November it looks as though it is finally starting to turn wintry.

Managing Director Nic snell said "We were delighted at the amount of our customers that stocked up early and took advantage of our early offers but we are anxious that customers don't get caught out with re-stocking". He went on to say "we have excellent stock levels, so this is not an issue at all, its more about customers planning ahead now that it is getting much busier in the run up to Christmas and New Year"

Certainly Wood recently installed a 4th wood fired kiln and purchased a new firewood processor allowing production to increase by 20%. Production this year is estimated to be 16,000 tonnes of kiln dried firewood and 2,000 tonnes of kindling.

Whilst log sales have been slow during the warm autumn, kindling and flamers have proved to be very popular. Nic added "Both these products are exceptional and the flamers natural firelighters are particularly unique and everyone just loves them. We believe kindling sales are particularly buoyant due to the unique box design and the high quality of 'poplar wood' kiln dried kindling" Due to the popularity of the flamers, a new larger box of 50 has been introduced retailing at £5 and this offers better value to the customer and ideal for those that have already tried the smaller box and wish to buy in larger quantities.
