Fire Safety - Dos

ALWAYS place the grill on a flat stable surface at least 25 feet, or as far away as you can, from the house, garage, shed, fence, decking or any other flammable structure, and well away from overhanging trees and piles of leaves.

ALWAYS keep children and pets away from the grill area.

ALWAYS keep your grill clean by removing grease and fat, as this will help prevent flare-ups and flash fires.

ALWAYS watch for flying sparks and put them out immediately.

ALWAYS let wood cool completely when you have finished cooking, and dispose of any ash in a metal container.

ALWAYS have a first aid kit, fire blanket, fire extinguisher and water bucket on standby.

Fire Safety - Don'ts

NEVER leave your grill unattended.

NEVER grill under the influence of alcohol

NEVER grill food in the dark.
